BildGroup loves our lycra as much as we love our roads, so it’s no surprise that we’ve been participating in numerous cycling events with our industry partners for the last four years. Since 2021, we’ve participated in five rides, travelling over 650km to raise more than $45,000 to support local not for profit organisations, with no plans on hanging up our helmets yet.
So, why cycling? Not only are our industry partners keen cyclists, but cycling brings people together. Through bleak weather conditions, steep mountain inclines, and mechanical breakdowns over long and hard distances, special bonds are forged. Whether you’re on or off the bike, the only way the team can overcome the struggle and the fatigue is if we support one another to the end. Helping each other through ups and downs, and being able to celebrate together at the end, means there’s something for everyone to enjoy and contribute with our rides.

Local organisations and charities will always need support, so we like to keep our fundraising and donations local so they remain manageable and personable, ultimately making a bigger impact. In four years, we’ve collaborated with our industry partners to send people from across Australia to participate in multiple rides, including; KICRR (Kangaroo Island Community Recovery Ride) in 2021 (120km), the Foodbank Hunger Ride in 2022 (174km), the Fiona Elsey Spud 100 in 2023 (165km), the Barossi in support of Seeds of Hope Suicide Prevention Network also in 2023, and finally the Air24 2024 supporting Beyond Blue (85km).
While we are very proud of the money we’ve raised, another way we measure the success of our events is the willingness of our industry partners to return year after year. Our goal is simply to continue these rides as a group of like-minded industry partners, working together to support worthy local charities along the journey.
