CLOCS-A is a nationally recognised accreditation demonstrating a company’s commitment to a national good practice approach for managing the risks and impacts associated with a construction project’s on-road transport and logistics activities. It also focuses on the community road safety, environmental responsibility, and the protection of local communities during construction activities.

At BildGroup, we understand the critical importance of safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Pursuing CLOCS-A accreditation was a natural step for us. The logistics and construction sectors are often at the forefront of community impact, with vehicle movements, noise, and pollution directly affecting the surrounding environment and neighbourhoods. By achieving CLOCS-A, we have taken a proactive approach to mitigate these impacts, ensuring that we align with best practices and regulations that benefit our business and the communities we serve.

Why?

Our decision was driven by several key factors, including:

  1. Commitment to Safety: Safety is our top priority, and CLOCS-A helps us further our commitment to reducing risks to our drivers, employees, and the vulnerable road users within communities in which we operate.
  2. Enhancing Reputation: The accreditation strengthens our reputation as a responsible and ethical business. It signals to our clients, partners, and stakeholders that we are dedicated to safety and environmental stewardship, making us more competitive in the market.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: With increasing government and industry regulations around construction logistics and community safety, CLOCS-A ensures we meet and exceed these standards, helping us stay ahead of compliance requirements.
  4. Continuous Improvement: CLOCS-A encourages a culture of ongoing improvement, which supports our long-term sustainability goals. The structured framework helps us regularly assess and improve our practices, ensuring we remain leaders in our industry.

“BildGroup is incredibly proud to be the first company in Australia awarded CLOCS-A accreditation,” said Simone Reinertsen, BildGroup’s Chain of Responsibility Lead. “We are dedicated to reducing road risk, improving safety standards, and fostering a culture of responsibility within the construction industry. This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to progress and realising our potential.”

The benefits of CLOCS-A accreditation

CLOCS-A accreditation offers a range of significant benefits that directly impact both our business operations and our broader community engagement:

  1. Reduced Risk and Liability: By adhering to CLOCS-A guidelines, we reduce the likelihood of accidents and incidents involving our vehicles, workers, and residents. This lowers our liability and insurance costs while promoting a safer work environment.
  2. Better Community Relations: CLOCS-A focuses on minimising the impact of construction logistics on local communities. This includes reducing noise, pollution, and congestion, which ultimately helps foster better relationships with our neighbours and the wider public.
  3. Operational Efficiency: The accreditation provides a framework for streamlining logistics operations. We’ve improved coordination between our teams and contractors, leading to more efficient project delivery and reduced delays.
  4. Access to New Opportunities: More and more clients require proof of commitment to safety and sustainability. CLOCS-A accreditation opens new business opportunities, particularly with larger clients or those operating in regulated industries, such as public sector projects.
  5. Environmental Impact: CLOCS-A helps us incorporate sustainable practices into our operations, from fuel-efficient logistics to reducing emissions, benefitting the planet, and supporting our corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.

On March 28th, 2025, Karyn Welsh, CEO CILT Australia – Host Organisation of CLOCS-A presented Simone Reinertsen and the BildGroup team with their certificate, decals, and banner, officially recognising them as a CLOCS-A compliant company.

“We’re proud to announce BildGroup as the first company to achieve CLOCS-A Bronze Accreditation, reinforcing their commitment to safer, more efficient, and sustainable construction logistics,’ said Karyn. “Their proactive approach highlights the benefits of prioritising safety, compliance, and operational excellence. As early adopters, BildGroup assessed their transport operations to align with CLOCS-A Standards. Their truck drivers also completed the free online Vulnerable Road Users training, reinforcing safety measures to prevent injuries and fatalities. This milestone marks the start of a safety-focused culture in the industry. We encourage industry leaders, developers, contractors, and logistics providers to follow BildGroup’s example and commit to safer, leaner, and greener transport.”

In today’s competitive and increasingly regulated business environment, CLOCS-A accreditation is a strategic investment. It enhances operational performance and reinforces our commitment to safety, sustainability, and community well-being. Achieving this accreditation positions BildGroup as a leader in responsible construction logistics and ensures we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients, employees, and the communities we serve.
