We are seeking applications for experienced and high performing Float Drivers. Our business runs around the clock and we are looking for a variety of drivers to cover all shifts including nights, mornings, day and weekends. We have plenty of ongoing work, and plenty of hours for those who are willing and able.

Servicing a wide range of clients from VicRoads, local government and authorities to developers, builders and other civil contractors, our team has the experience, knowledge and capabilities to deliver all types of civil and infrastructure works including;

Primary Duties:

Operating Quad Axle Low Loader Float
Transportation of our fleet of Road Profilers and adhering to timelines
Mixture of day and night shifts on metropolitan, regional and interstate projects
Carrying out daily / minor maintenance (major work is done by in-house technicians)
Liaising and working with our customers and the community during projects
Flexible with duties
Adhere to OH&S policies and procedures and chain of responsibility legislation

Mandatory Skills:

Minimum of 2+ years’ experience Proven road work experience in the operation of heavy vehicles (preferably Float work);
Must have excellent people skills;
Outgoing, well-mannered and be able to build strong relationships;
Must be organised & have strong attention to detail commitment;
Excellent time management skills;
Excellent problem-solving skills (ability to think outside of the square);
Ability to respond to challenging situations in a calm and collected manner;
Flexible, adaptable and open to new methods;
Physically able to undertake the role – there will be a pre-employment medical;
Must have a sound knowledge of the National Heavy Vehicle Regulations (NHVR) and Chain of Responsibility (COR) Regulations;
Respect and maintain the presentation of Bitu-mill equipment;
Ability to work in a team environment;
Must have good record keeping skills.
