A leading Civil Construction business is seeking application from experienced Grader Operators to work on various civil projects for public and private sector Clients within Regional Victoria.

The role:

You will be working side by side with a Supervisor and within a supportive team. This is a busy and diverse role for a highly motivated Grader Operator looking for challenge across the Civil Infrastructure industry.

Based regionally, there is regular travel throughout the sites across Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Echuca and Colac to maintain a high level of hands-on engagement with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Civil construction (earthworks and road pavement) experience
  • Operate Grader with GPS/UTS System;
  • Daily Prestart plant checks, report any faults or issues;
  • Provide assistance to your team where required or as directed.


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a grader operator with exposure to road construction and seal preparation;
  • Driver’s license and grader ticket as minimum, other relevant tickets may include OH&S induction (white card), first aid level 2, roller and truck license;
  • Fully Covid-19 vaccinated;
  • Good verbal and written references to verify the above;
  • Ability to think on your feet and make good decisions;
  • Strong focus on safety and quality;
  • Prepared to travel and live away from home.
  • Sufficient computer skills to satisfactorily perform duties as a grader operator, including but not limited to daily plant inspection, site specific safety induction, etc.
  • Basic plant maintenance skills to ensure safe operation of plant.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly motivated, team orientated person with good attitude and willingness to be a leader in the field and set a hard-working example;
