We are in search of a Management Accountant with business partnering experience within the construction industry to help continue grow the business.

The Role:

You will be working side by side with our Group Finance Manager and within a supportive team.  You will partner closely with project and business managers, finance team and members of the Executive team to provide best practice management accounting. This is a busy and diverse role for an experienced Management Accountant looking for challenge across the Civil Infrastructure industry.

Based primarily in Campbellfield, there is regular travel throughout the sites across metropolitan Melbourne to maintain a high level of hands-on engagement with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and analysis of first-cut month-end financial results, including divisional profit and loss and balance sheets, consolidated Company profit and loss and balance sheet reports;
  • Management of transactional data entry specific to the business units. This will entail working collaboratively with the team of Accounts Officers and project personnel to ensure timelines are met and data is accurate;
  • Monthly GL reconciliations – Ensure business unit GL reconciliation are completed in a timely manner and all items requiring further investigation or resolution are dealt with;
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;
  • Supporting audit process;
  • Control of the general ledger across all divisions within the relevant Company, including preparation of general journals, cost transfers and revenue adjustments;
  • Working with other Finance and Admin staff and operations staff to streamline and improve processes;
  • Works with operational teams to ensure debtor balances are being managed on an ongoing basis.
  • Monthly cash flow forecasting for the Company;
  • Approval of AP vendors as required;
  • Meeting all internal reporting deadlines;
  • Providing support and assistance to the Finance and Administration Manager;
  • Ensure all ledger balances are maintained to the highest standards.


  • CPA or CA qualification;
  • 2+ years’ experience in the Construction industry;
  • An ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects concurrently;
  • Have good IT skills and advanced skills in Excel and Word;
  • Have a high level of personal motivation and commercial acumen;
  • Clear and articulate communication skills coupled with an ability to influence key stakeholders.
