On-the-job mentoring

You work alongside experienced crew members who are invested in your progress. Trade skills are built in the field, on real projects, day by day.

Road maintenance is steady, community-based work with a clear career structure, real long-term demand and a payslip from day one. It suits people who want to learn a skill, earn a living and stay in work.

It is not glamourous, but it is meaningful. The roads people drive on every day are safer because of the people who maintain them. We think the people who do that work deserve a proper pathway into it.

We don’t just post a job and wait. We build our pipeline through partnerships with organisations that are already doing the hard work of supporting the people we want to reach. They know their communities better than we ever could, and we’re grateful for it.

Each of these organisations has earned genuine trust within its community. We could not replicate that trust on our own, and we would not try to. Together, we make sure the program has the integrity and structures to support participants throughout their employment journey.
