Cyril Molyneux Reserve

Top-notch facility for local baseball players to enjoy

BildGroup’s sports fields and surfaces team was thrilled to partner with our client to reconstruct the baseball field at Cyril Molyneux Reserve. Our goal was to create a facility for local baseball players to enjoy and be proud of.

We resurfaced the diamond and infield with high-quality synthetic grass, ensuring a durable and attractive playing surface. The pitching mound and bases, along with the adjoining training field, were finished with en-tout-cas, providing a professional-grade experience.

Our work included extensive demolition and earthworks, moving 578m³ of material. A fully welded geo-composite membrane was then installed over the 2,727m² subgrade prior to the crushed rock pavement. Additionally, we installed 3,220 metres of new drainage infrastructure, keeping the field in excellent condition throughout the seasons.

We also took care of fencing and other ancillary works to ensure the entire area was safe and met the highest standards. Throughout the project, we worked in partnership with the council to ensure we met their expectations and requirements.

The project was completed on time in March 2021, with a total budget of $973,000. The new field provides a fantastic, modern facility for the community.
