Located within the vibrant industrial hub of Epping, this development addresses the growing demand for industrial land in the region. By working closely with our clients, we have implemented significant value engineering solutions that benefit both the client and the end-users, ensuring maximum outcomes for this project.

We were excited to showcase our extensive fleet of resources, robust subcontracting partnerships, efficient systems, and proactive team mindset to overcome the multiple challenges of this site, including hard, rocky conditions, abundant silt material, and environmental sensitivity. Our approach and capabilities ensured the best value outcomes in terms of time and cost for all stakeholders.

The project included:

• the installation of 10 kilometres of new electrical and communication services;
• new road pavements with 15,000 square metres of deep-lift asphalt;
• comprehensive Melbourne Water drainage works;
• adherence to AS3000 electrical work standards; and
• adherence to VBA plumbing code for water and sewer services;
• 30,000 cubic metres of earthworks;
• 1,500 metres of drainage; and
• 3,500 square metres of shared pathways.

We have successfully kept ahead of schedule, reprogramming to start restricted areas earlier than anticipated. This proactive approach has provided peace of mind to our clients regarding delivery dates. Our use of heavy machinery for pre-breaking services fast-tracked the latter stages of the project, ensuring certainty for all stakeholders. Additionally, we managed the site, close to operating businesses and shops, with stringent environmental controls to minimise disruption.

Our collaboration with the client and civil consultant allowed us to adapt to an evolving design during construction, minimising final costs. We managed several subcontractors simultaneously, incorporating recycling with local partners to promote best environmental practices.

This $10 million project is set to be completed in 2024, reinforcing our commitment to fostering industrial growth and sustainability in Epping.
