Bridging new connections for Cranbourne’s growing community

BildGroup’s civil infrastructure team was entrusted as head contractor for the design and construction of a new bridge over Berwick Creek, forming a key part of Stage 9 of the Honour Village Estate in Cranbourne. Working closely with the subdivision head contractor and a range of stakeholders, the team coordinated design and construction across multiple disciplines, ensuring the project’s critical path was maintained.

The bridge itself features in-situ cast abutments, wingwalls, and deck, with eight precast T-beams and fourteen driven piles forming the backbone of the structure. Safety barriers, new road pavement, and decorative architectural balustrades complete the picture, blending functionality with visual appeal. Environmental controls were front and centre, with works carried out in and around a live waterway and careful measures taken to minimise runoff and protect the local ecosystem.

Forward planning was key, with comprehensive lift plans and innovative methods reducing risks and streamlining the build. The project was delivered on time, in coordination with broader subdivision works, and achieved a high-quality outcome without environmental incident. For the Honour Village community, the new bridge provides safe, reliable access and enhances the liveability of the estate, reflecting our commitment to building infrastructure that supports people and places.
