New facilities for sports and recreation

BildGroup’s sports fields and surfaces team had the pleasure of delivering an exciting project for the Berwick community, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome! We completed a fantastic natural oval featuring a cricket pitch, two netball courts, a three-lane cricket enclosure, and a car park.

Our work involved extensive excavation and the laying of different types of pavements for each facility. We installed a state-of-the-art irrigation system, meticulously marked out all the lines, and added beautiful landscaping to enhance the area’s appearance.

Ancillary works included new park furniture, sports and car park lighting, and the realignment of existing services to complement the new facilities.

The handover of the $4.3 million project in October 2020 provided the local community with a superb new sports hub, including a 19,700 m² natural turf oval, 5,070 m² of new road pavement and car parking, 14,200 m² of surrounding landscape areas, and 6,050 m² of new concrete footpaths and pavements.

Throughout the construction, our team remained committed to minimising disruption to the neighbouring residents. We understand the importance of respecting the community while enhancing it.

In the end, the new facilities offer fantastic opportunities for sports and recreation, and we are excited to see the community enjoy them for years to come!
