Livingstone Open Space Reserve

Bringing an open space reserve to life for the community

BildGroup’s sports fields and surfaces team was thrilled to have the opportunity to construct the Livingston Open Space Reserve project for our client. This exciting project included the creation of two natural turf ovals with a cricket wicket, two acrylic netball courts, a three-lane cricket enclosure, and a car park.

Our work began with extensive excavation and the laying of natural turf for both ovals, complete with efficient irrigation systems. We installed concrete pavements with a durable acrylic coating for the netball courts and used synthetic grass for the cricket net enclosure.

Additionally, we provided new furniture and lighting and realigned other services to ensure everything was modern and functional. With a budget of $5.7 million, we completed the project in August 2020.

Here’s a quick look at the scale of the work:

• Concrete pavement: 9,900 m²
• Landscaping: 22,000 m²
• Turf pavement: 39,500 m²
• Road pavement: 7,185 m²

Every part of the project met the highest standards, and we ensured the work was completed with minimal disruption to the surrounding residents.

Seeing the Livingston Open Space Reserve come to life and knowing it will be enjoyed by the community for years to come is incredibly rewarding. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the City of Casey and enhance the local environment!
