BildGroup’s landscape team is proud to have partnered with Development Victoria, City of Greater Dandenong and Melbourne Water transformed a challenging 12-hectare site along the Dandenong Creek Trail into a stunning open space for the community to enjoy.
The project involved creating a seamless connection with nature through carefully designed features, including a footpath, pre-fabricated stairs, a timber bridge, hardwood bench seating, and a welcoming shelter. With access to the site proving difficult, our skilled team navigated unique challenges, such as working around methane exhausts and adhering to strict guidelines to avoid excavations deeper than 600mm due to the protective membrane.
To complement the natural beauty of the area, we planted 20,000 native plants and 112 trees, enhancing biodiversity and creating a haven for wildlife. This effort has not only delivered a visually appealing space but has also provided a sustainable recreational area that will benefit the community for generations to come.
