Mountain Highway Intersection Upgrade

Turning a busy crossing into a safer space for everyone

As part of the Victorian Government’s Local Road and Intersection Upgrade program, BildGroup was tasked with upgrading the intersection of Mountain Highway, Colchester Road, and Albert Avenue. Previously a single-lane roundabout with slip lanes, the intersection posed safety challenges, especially for pedestrians during busy periods.

Our civil infrastructure team converted the roundabout into a signalised intersection, installing new traffic signals and asphalt paving, and implementing innovative traffic management to keep the community safe throughout construction. Built to VicRoads specifications (R3, F15), the upgrade has made crossing the intersection easier and safer for everyone, from drivers to pedestrians.

The project was delivered with minimal disruption, and the intersection is now ready for immediate use. For the local community, the upgrade means less congestion, improved safety, and a more reliable journey, demonstrating our commitment to practical solutions that make a real difference.
