Wetland project for the community of Officer

BildGroup’s landscape team had the exciting opportunity to contribute to the community of Officer by creating a wetland project alongside Urban Edge Landscape Architects and RCL Group. This was a special project because it allowed us to work with Melbourne Water standards, ensuring our work met high environmental expectations.

One of the unique challenges we faced was working near a live creek that sometimes flooded into our project area. But we took it in stride, using innovative solutions to manage the water and keep our project on track.

We’re passionate about sustainability and working in harmony with nature, so working on wetland planting was right up our alley. We carried out aquatic planting and revitalised areas with weedy grassland, making the environment healthier and more vibrant.

Although the site could be tricky to access, especially in wet weather, we had the right equipment and expertise to get the job done. Now, several years later, it’s incredibly rewarding to visit the site and see how our efforts have helped nature thrive. It’s a testament to the dedication and talent of our team, and it fills us with pride to know we’ve made a positive impact on the Officer community.
