St Kevin’s College engaged BildGroup’s maintenance team to rejuvenate an ageing open area at the rear of the campus that had lost its visual appeal and was affected by drainage issues, including surface water ponding. Our work focused on restoring function, safety and appearance while minimising disruption to the school community.
We replaced the existing kerb and channel and reshaped the pavement to reinstate correct falls, using 2 metre profiler to improve drainage performance. A 40 mm asphalt overlay created a smooth, durable surface, followed by a non slip coloured finish in the College’s colours to improve safety and reflect the character of the campus.
Works were carefully timed and delivered during school holidays, ensuring no disruption to students or staff. Recycling more than 200 tonnes of existing pavement materials reduced waste and supported a more sustainable outcome, while delivering a refreshed, practical space the school community can rely on every day
