St Monica’s College Sports Field

Versatile sports facility created with soccer field and tennis court redevelopment

BildGroup’s sports fields and surfaces team had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with our client to create a dynamic and versatile sports facility for their students. The new complex includes a full-size FIFA accredited synthetic soccer field, a multi-purpose court, and six tennis courts, providing endless opportunities for students to play, stay active, and enhance their sporting abilities.

The soccer pitch was surfaced using the FieldTurf RGF XM7 50 mm synthetic grass system installed over a Schmitz ProPlay 20 mm shock pad, ensuring a high-quality playing surface that meets all FIFA Quality certification standards. The tennis courts were surfaced with FieldTurf CLUB 40, providing excellent durability and performance.

Our team handled everything from earthworks to concrete and base construction, creating a solid foundation for the sports surfaces. We installed 13,020 square metres of synthetic turf across the soccer field and tennis courts, ensuring uniformity and quality across all areas.

We also took care of essential infrastructure, including drainage, fencing, and other ancillary works, to ensure the safety and functionality of the facility. We erected 673 linear metres of fencing to secure the facility and ensure the safety of students and spectators.

With a total budget of $2.4 million, we completed the project in September 2023. The new sports facility at St Monica’s College is sure to be a hub of activity and enjoyment for students, providing them with opportunities to stay active, hone their skills, and build camaraderie with their peers.
