New tennis courts and cricket nets to enhance school’s sports infrastructure

Forming part of the North East Link project, BildGroup’s sports fields and surfaces team had the fantastic opportunity to work with our client to relocate and construct new facilities to replace those that were to be impacted by the major roadworks. These new facilities included tennis courts, cricket nets, and a new lawn area for archery.

The eight new concrete-based tennis courts were surfaced with the Rebound Ace 5mm HSA Club System and complemented by new perimeter fencing and retaining walls. The cricket wicket training enclosures were constructed in two blocks, comprising 12 synthetic-surfaced and 4 natural wicket tables. New perimeter chain mesh fencing and internal soft netting completed these nets.

Flowing from the sports courts, new concrete footpaths, landscaping, and provisions for future court lighting also formed part of our scope of work. Crucial quality assurances and testing plans were vital to this project, and our highly experienced construction team worked tirelessly to ensure we met all key targets along the way.

With the project completed in April 2022, we were proud to deliver a project that met the highest standards and created opportunities in the sporting space for students to excel for years to come.
